Prof. K. S. Raghavan has a long and illustrious career that has taken him to universities around the world. He is Member-Secretary of the Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science since 2014 and has also served as a Visiting Scientist at the Centre for Knowledge Analytics and Ontological Engineering (KAnOE) at PES University in Bengaluru. He has served as visiting professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the School of Information Science at Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Prof. Raghavan was a Senior Fulbright Fellow at the Graduate School of Library & Information Science at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1987, and has been a British Council Visiting Scholar. He has served as a professor at DRTC, Indian Statistical Institute, as Dean (Academic) University of Madras, and as the Head of the Department of Library & Information Science at the University of Madras. Prof. Raghavan has over 75 papers to his credit and has edited 18 volumes. He is the chief editor of the Journal of Information and Knowledge and is also on the editorial board of two international journals, viz., Knowledge Organization and Libres. Recently he was awarded Life-Time Achievement award by the Delhi Library Association.
